Question about running with nose/sinus problems

So I recently went to the ENT and was diagnosed with a double deviated septum and enlarged turbinates. He gave me some Nasonex to see how it improved my symptoms (it has not...whatsoever) and said if it doesnt help I should get a turbinectomy and septoplasty.
I have noticed that when I run, my nose will run too...even when I'm not congested. Also, AFTER I run I get this insane throbbing in the middle of my nose that goes through my sinuses. Did anyone ever experience this? Was this corrected by getting nose surgery?
Thanks!
