About Me: 42 yo female standing 5'1", peri-menopause (lucky me), 3 kids total (2 c-sections)

I had surgery and then an allergic reaction November last year. Between being "laid up" and the steroids (12 lbs in 2 weeks while on steroids - Wow!) I left my 137 - 138 lbs and bounced up to 155 lbs. Mid-Feb I felt well enough and the holidays were over so I went ahead and concentrated on getting healthy again.

Goals from mid-Feb:
BP: From 167/107 to 135/89
Cholesterol: From 185 to 120
Diabetes: From A projected use of insulin within 2 years to a pre-diabetes or normal range
Weight: From 155 lbs to 140 lbs (goal 1), then to 125

Here's how I'm stacking up
BP: 120/76 - 145/94. MET.
I have a bouncing B/P. It's hard as anything to regulate and I'm hypersensitive to dang near everything I put into my body
like sodium and meds, which is why meds don't work well for me.
Cholesterol: I'm supposed to have the blood work done beginning of July
Diabetes: MET
Woohoo, woohoo!! I'm semi-normal.
Weight: Goal 1 MET  .
Working on Goal 2. Currently at 133 lbs :glasses:
Thinking goal 3 might be 122 which is where I was when I was running 2.25 miles 3 times a week,
eating 1200 cals a day.

I'm very happy but I would also like to set new goals.
I've been a walker a few years now but when I was younger I also used to run. So I'm running again. I need to set an attainable goal for myself. Not certain what it should be. Right now I run 3 miles in 31.5 min (10.5 mpm) or 3.5 miles in 38 min (11 mpm), 3 times a week. I thought 8.5 might be attainable, but not so certain. For a benchmark, if it helps, in my 20's I could run 7 min miles for about 6 miles tops.

Any runners out there (especially over 40) who have insight or input, would really appreciate it.

Cheers!!
