I work outside all day as a Flagger, directing traffic. I keep trying to think of different foods to pack in my lunchbox (that has frozen water bottles in it). I need foods that make me feel fuller. I've been taking fruits and veggies (sliced and diced). I take some single serving size containers of yogurt. People have suggested hard boiled eggs, nuts, string cheese, etc....but none of these items make me feel full. It's hard deciding on foods as I may only be able to eat with one hand due to holding a flag in the other. I have learned to hold a sandwich baggie with the flag, leaving my open hand to point cars in the right direction and allow me to reach in my sandwich bag as well. I thought about taking a homemade protein shake and see how it lasts. I have an insulated cup that keeps ice cubes in their normal state for about 4 hours. If I put that shake in that and freeze it, then put it in lunchbox with frozen water bottles I wonder how long it would last before turning watery? Curious to see what other people pack that work outside all day in the heat!

I work outside too, (constuction) I always pack the same thing. Gallon of water, peanut butter sandwich and a Greek yogurt that I buy from a nearby store on break (I can't bring this one from home) sometimes if I'm in the mood I'll grab a bag of reduced sodium sunflower seeds. About 190 cals for almost half a large bag!!!!! A little high in fat (but its the "good" kind) but fits in macros just fine :) and half a bag I can literally eat for an hour or more continuously. (because their in the shell and opening them is half the fun lol)

Are we the only 2 people who work outside....I think not. Lets get this bumped back up and see if we can't get some more responses!
