Any other pear-shaped ladies out there frustrated?

My whole life, I've always been somewhat bottom-heavy. Even when I gain loads of weight, I can look almost totally normal up top but completely balloon out from the belly-button down.
I know that many women in Brazil are paying good money to have silicone injected into their booties, but mine (plus the saddlebags that stubbornly accompany it) has always been, at best, a nuisance and, at worst, a curse. Pants don't fit right (permanent "plumbers crack," lol), pencil skirts ride up to become mini skirts within a few paces, forget skinny jeans (will they ever go away????).
It's not that I mind having curves. I just hate how awkwardly clothes fit. I also used to hate getting so much unwanted attention from men when I lived in a city and walked everywhere. (I know a lot of women who are "well-endowed" up top complain of that as well.)
I now live in a rural area and have to drive everywhere and conceal my shape with a-line dresses (or sweatpants) most of the time. So, I'm keeping it hidden at the moment, haha.
One day, though, ONE BLESSED DAY I would like to have a more petite lower half. Is this even possible? Am I pointlessly wrestling with genetics?
Also, any of you success stories out there who are built like me have before and after pics to share? I want to see what's possible for motivational purposes, but so many before and after pics are for women with entirely different body shapes.
Thanks, ladies!
xoxo

I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL OMG!! LOL
Even though I am at 125lbs now , I still wear pant size 9.
It was a lot lot worst before when I was 170lbs. I had to wear size 13 and it was really tight!
I lost a lot of weight and now i feel like developed "flaps'" on my thighs.
My buddy has been helping me with legs workout to firm it up and its hard. I just kinda learn to like it. And keep working on my legs . Leg workouts as you know are not fun the day after lol0 -
Girl, you are at my goal weight, and the before-and-after pic on your profile has given me some serious hope. Thanks for that, and congratulations!
Also, I'll have to watch out for those thigh flaps (lol) when the pounds start coming off.0
