No more kidding!

Hi all, I joined the site a couple of weeks ago and now I know why I was'nt getting anywhere before! I was kidding myself that I was'nt eating all that much. I was eating healthy foods (far too much of them) walking the dog daliy, getting reasonable excercise and generally being a good girl. Well after logging what I actually eat, plus how much excercise I really get its been a bit of a revalation. Why I'm not much bigger than I am is a mystery! Its amazing just how much you can overeat without really noticing. This site has really been a wake up call, its the first time I have ever really counted calories and knowing that I have to be honest with myself and record everything stops me from stuffing and picking at stuff that I really should just leave alone. The odd handfull of dried cranberrys can't hurt can it? A couple of figs or some dried fruit, or even just one (or two) chocolates...surely they can't add up to much? Well now I know that just a few extras like these every day have been the reason why I havent lost weight, even though I'd convinced myself that I was cutting down. So now in just a couple of weeks of really knowing how much I am eating, I have lost two and a half pounds....result! Looking forward to more of the same....good luck to all....:flowerforyou:

Welcome and good luck to you. I know what you mean having experienced this same situation myself. It's amazing what tricks the mind can play on us!0

I was in the exact same "sinking" boat!
The most amazing thing to me is how much longer our grocerys have been lasting.
Maybe we can take all the money we are saving on food an buy new skinny clothes!:happy:0
