Plateau 6 wks in...this time I will never ever give up!!!

Hit a plateau ONLY 6 weeks into this. I lost 20 lbs then the next two were difficult and then standstill for 6-7 weeks. I have hit these plateaus MANY MANY times in life. There is a difference between now and all those other times...I am NOT FRIGGIN' GIVING UP. I will never ever again. I just like how much better I look and how much tighter I am. I like the high from a good workout, the fresh air from a walk, the increased fitness level and breathing ability and overall health from it.
I spent so many years avoiding the scale and now I brave it whenever I feel (daily, weekly, whenever). I get upset when it doesn't budge but then I remind myself how much better I feel and look.
p.s.
I have 75 more pounds to go, but have given myself 30 left for the year as a slow-paced weightloss schedule for me and for my metabolism/thyroid stuff. I'm not sure why it's so slow, after all I am overweight, it's not like I'm NEAR my goal. Really, I thought a plateau would pop up maybe 60 lbs into it. Usually, in the past I give up over and over again, only to feel defeated and then re-start months later. Not this time. I push through and realize it's not about the number on the scale, but how I feel, how much fitter I feel. I didn't know people could hit a plateau so soon into it, but oh well that's how my body decides to work. Maybe it's muscle gain, maybe it's inches lost instead, who knows!?
BTW I have tried upping calories for no results, lowering my calories for no results, lower carbs no results, and I already for years have eaten organic, good/round diet/good choices and worked out regularly. I just workout much more now 6x a week try for 70 mins to 90 mins some days.

I am right there with you right now. Honestly I feel like I am just at maintance or somehing because no mattr how much I exercise the scale has just stopped moving. My mini goal was to get to 30lbs lost by the end of June and it is looking as if I might not make it. I have been at this since April and already had this happen a couple times where 2-3 wks went by with no change to the scale and then I lost several over a twp week period and have stopped again at 20lbs. I am not giving up either I love how I am feeling and being so active I am able to get out with my husband and kids and do things but I just want the scale to move already! I cant even tell a huge difference in how I look. Goodluck to you and add me if you'd like I have 120 to go.

I have 75 to go, only down 22-23 basically. I have tried everything, so all I can do is keep going. I've been going since March and trying to have patience. I guess I expect even 1 lbs a week, but that hasn't happened in 6-7 weeks. Weird. But I'm not stopping!0
