what are your thoughts on fasting... Whether it be 12-24 hour or longer periods like 10-30 days?
I'm curious as ihave been researching the healthbenefits of longer fasts.. To reset the body straight..
Thanks for all thoughts.. No bashing please!

I liked juice fasting. I've never done straight water fasting. Well, not on purpose anyway, i've been without food before due to situations. I think there is benefit to fasting, but read up on it so you know you are doing it right. I wouldn't eat anything but fruits and veggies, high fiber, high micro-nutrient, food for 2 weeks before starting to make it easier on you during the fast.

I am personally not a fan of fasting. If I don't eat I get headaches, the shakes and I feel like I will pass out. In fact I did pass out once due to not eating and nearly passed out another time. The longest I went was three weeks of just a liquid diet and I felt horrible and was really moody the entire time. I would have to say based on my experiences from fasting/ not eating, I would not suggest it to anyone... but that is just my opinion. Others may have had better experiences and perhaps went about it in a much better way than I did.

I am a fan of fasting. I do a 6 - 8 hour eating window. Great health benefits and AWESOME for fat burning. It's easy if you break it down and look at it. Stop eating at 6 or 8pm and skip breakfast and don't eat again until noon or 2pm. I also try to workout during the fasting hours. The energy is awesome. I wish I could explain the feeling you get from it.... It's kind of like an orgasm in that you can't really explain the feeling, you just have to experience it.

I have been doing it for almost 3 weeks this time around and I don't really plan on changing this schedule.....EVER.
