Quick hello before I get stuck in with posting haha ![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Hi Im Sophie, codename DuckyBugden, and I am currently on a mission to lose about 50 pounds (though I would be very happy with 40).
My weight has been out of control for a few years ever since I was bullied slightly as a teenager and turned to emotional eating for comfort. Things got to a head at the end of last summer when a combination of laziness, apathy and bad habits caused me to reach 170 pounds (egads) which did not agree with my small stature and build (Im 5'3 on a good day). Horrified with the holiday photos that surfaced I agreed to go on a diet with my father and quickly lost a stone and 10 pounds, however I hit a plateau there and didnt move anywhere but upwards for a few months due to motivation issues. Im back on the wagon now and have lost the 7 pounds I regained over easter and am now more sensible and determined than ever, even though that damned plateau weight remains (anyone want to go on a plateau hunt with me?)
Along my weight loss journey I have discovered a few facts: that I love bread a little (lot) too much, that actually I DO like vegetables (quite the shocker) and that losing weight is awesome! Its difficult, emotional and heartbreaking but at the same time every time it goes right I feel great
If only I could keep this motivation in mind all the time :P
Anyway here I am, Ill stop rambling now and get on with it, still a lot to be done before the next 20 pounds is gone!
