Hello everyone, I have decided to add water zumba and water aerobics to my workout routine during the hot summer months. Has anyone ever incorporated this into your exercise? If so did you see any results?

I'm also very interested in what others would say. My gym has this as a program and I'd like to try it out but would also like to see what others say about it.

Water aerobics is amazing!!!! definately try it!! great workout and great resistance! you burn lots of calories and its easier to move because the water supports your weight. Its very good for people with lots of weight to lose and/or with past/present injuries. Go for it ladies!!!!!

I love it!!!! I say go for it! I've gone to 7 classes this week! I lost 7lbs! I also watched what I ate, so that helped.
Do to work I will go 4 times this week. There are women and some men of all ages and sizes. When I was going in January/Feb I lost 15 lbs and was getting asked a lot if I lost weight.

depends on your fitness level. i do water aerobics but the class i take isnt particularly challenging and even when i push myself, my heart rate only gets to about 120 (i wear my HRM during all exercise) at the highest which *to me* is usually where i am when i'm in warm up status before i run.

but although the classes arent challenging to me fitness wise, i still think they are fun and they are great on days when i'm too sore for my other workouts but dont want to take a complete rest
