..had the app for quite a while! My name is Amanda.

I'm a 25year old mom to two awesome boys. I've always been heavier than the norm, but until I got married/had kids I managed to keep within the realms of "chubby." Then I got lazy, complacent, sometimes depressed and just ate myself into a very unhealthy and very unhappy person. Add in a lot of marriage troubles and a butt-load of self-esteem issues from childhood.. And I was just miserable in general.

Then one day it hit me as I was climbing the stairs to my oldest son's bedroom. .. --- I can't freaking catch my breath. I'm 25 and I can't breathe while climbing some freaking stairs!

There was the wake-up call I needed. That happened about 7months ago and I can proudly say I haven't looked back once or regretted taking on the commitment to get healthy. I've lost 45lbs, hoping to get to 55 by the time my birthday rolls around. (It's at the end of July.) I can -and do, easily climb those same stairs every day. I decided yesterday (after hours of reading and making lists of what I can/can't eat..) I'm going to try out the keto diet and see how that works for me.

I'm 5'3, I started this at 215lbs and am now down to 169.5. I've been hovering between 169-170 for a couple of weeks now. (Every time I get back to 170 I feel a little twinge of regret .. "what could i have done differently?! AGH Now I can't claim the 160s anymore! Boo. Sad. Re-motivate, move on!")

Today I decided to take it to a new level and actually use the social aspects of MFP. So.. Add me! Lets motivate each other.
A bit more about me other than weight loss stuffs: I'm addicted to reddit, love animals, sew my own fancy dresses, cuss like a sailor and am always really upbeat. I'll read anything you suggest and enjoy anything Star Wars related.

    Add me! ha ha

I'm the same get to about 170 lbs which was such a thrill and then when I got to 169 lb that was the lowest I'd been in years I brushed off the diet thing.

A change of job and circumstances mean sometimes its tough but as you say... boo... sad... move on. I've just come back to MFP after a year off and I need a kick up the *kitten* too.
