My poor ankles

I have just recently joined MFP in hopes to lose all this extra weight I have been carrying around. I couldn't motivate myself enough to lose it for my wedding, but now we are hoping to start a family in the next year or two so I am really trying to get down to a healthy weight before then. Right now I am just counting calories and have not incorporated much exercise.

The reason I have not been exercising is because it hurts soooo bad! When I walk or try to jog or even going upstairs my ankles just kill. They really feel like they are being sawed off and it's one of the worst pains I have ever felt. In my job I am walking around quite a bit of the day at a pretty normal pace and they don't hurt, but it seems like as soon as I try to speed up even a little or go "uphill" at all or even yesterday I was crouching down working on landscaping and they started to hurt. Has anyone experienced this? It is excruciating pain and it almost brings tears to my eyes it hurts so bad. It's mostly on the fronts and the sides of my ankles and it doesn't go up far at all on my leg. I used to think it was because of my weight, but looking back when I was at least 50 pounds lighter than I am now I still had this happening.

Sorry for rambling on...I'm just looking for answers lol!

sore ankles are common when you first start working out, it usually passes. I would probably go see a podiatrist to make sure nothing majorly is wrong. Have you tried any calf and ankle stretches? this usually helps. Remember it is important to stretch properly especially with feet issues.
