Firstly I would like to say hi to all of the fellow MFP forum members. I've been using the MFP app for about five weeks now and am already down 20.5 lbs which is pretty surprising. I've gotten a lot of use out of the recipe forum for different low fat meals. Everyone has some great ideas that have worked out for me. My question is just about hunger in general.
I used to over eat a good amount of the time before I started on MFP and am thinking that this may be because I was doing it for so long. I'm eating much more conservatively and am attempting to eat normal portion sizes. I drink anywhere from eight to sixteen cups of water a day to try and curb my hunger. I try to eat somewhere between 500 to 700 calories per meal (my daily allotment at the moment is 2130 calories per day). When did your bodies start to get used to this diet and begin to accept these normal portion sizes? I eat a normal portion size and still find myself struggling not to eat more. My ideal meal would be to eat something that falls within my calorie range and honestly be able to tell myself "I'm content".
Anyways I know this is good for me so I am attempting to stay on the path to a normal weight. Apologies if my question seems a bit confusing. Thanks and good luck to everyone!

I find that the most satisfying meals are the ones that contain everything--carbs, protein, and fat. If it is missing something, then within a few hours I'll be hungry again.
Also, I don't know how strict you are with what you eat, but if I go ahead and eat a little snack of something 'bad' (usually no more than 200 calories) each day then the urge to just say 'screw-it' and eat massive amounts of junk is greatly diminished. But that's more personal preference. Some people abstain completely and do just fine.
A cookie a day keeps the binges away--that's my motto. lol0 -
Also, my favorite meal is Chicken Stir-fry. 2 lbs chicken and 3 bags frozen stir-fry veggies cooked in a little bit of olive oil makes about 8 250 calorie servings (roughly a cup and a half of food). You could eat 4 cups of the stuff, which is a pretty massive plate, and still be within calories for the meal. I use low-sodium soy sauce to flavor it.0
