Is it normal to be mega hungry...

I usually work out in the late afternoon - typical workout would be a 3 mile run and half hour of strength training, occasionally with swimming or biking after. I will usually eat dinner when I get done, about 300 calories, and a snack of about 200 calories before I go out. I'm fine for the night and don't feel hungry when I go to bed. However, it seems like the next morning I am just crazy hungry, even after having a 400 calorie breakfast. Is this normal?!
