Food Tracker - Questions

I'm trying to eat the recommended 1200 calories, etc. but after I add exercise calories I'm still under the recommended amounts. Is it ok to go over in your protein count and not too much under your calories? I tried playing around and adding snacks and if I ate close to what was recommended, it shows me losing hardly any weight. Do you know if that factors in your exercise when calculating what you might lose in 5 weeks? I hope this is not too confusing.
Thanks for any help
