Honestly - I think it gets complicated because people make it complicated by wanting to listen to 5 different bits of advice and follow them all at once.

As Elizabeth said, if you log your food, log your exercise and eat those calories - chances are you'll do really well, it doesn't have to be hard. Lots of people here have done just that. Of course, it helps if you have set up a realistic goal and have taken a few mintues to read the FAQs.

    thanks for the advice

this app I find is a really easy concept and its my most used app on my phone and at the office its always running in the background on my PC. I just have trouble with the "me" part of it ;)
what I find interesting since doing this, the supermarket diet or good for you meals are still much higher in calories and salt and bad for you things than anything you can cook up yourself at home
Eg. i had a fry up tonight. 1 sausage 1 fried egg and a crap load of mushrooms fried and it was under 300 calories!!

it really makes you think of how to put stuff together. im still learning and thats the bit i struggle with ... im sure i'll get it soon but i have to train myself not to be so hungry. the weekend is here and that makes it easier. i need to find some good low cal work snacks :D
