Does anybody know if you can use dry polenta measurements as the final calorie count once the polenta is cooked?
Or does it increase in calories once it's cooked? (I've heard pasta does this O.O)
Today as part of dinner my mother prepared soft polenta. She used 250g dry polenta, water, salt and 1/2 cup of grated parmesan. I ran this through the MFP recipe analyser and it said that it's 283 calories per person (there were 4 of us eating). I then searched 'cooked polenta' on MFP database and it said 1 cup of cooked had about 250 calories (but then I don't know how many grams of polenta was used in this recipe). Can anyone help?
