How to find out my fat %

Hi, ive noticed alot ppl talking about fat % how do i find out what mine is, if anyone can help me out here would be much appreciated
i just googled it and found a convertor mines saying its 53.6% is that classed as bad? this is all very confusing.

There are several calculators on the web (eg http://www.bmi-calculator.net/body-fat-calculator/, but Google will turn up a ton of others).
You can also get scales which calculate your fat %. I use Withings Scales, which I'd recommend, but they are on the pricey side.0 -
I have a Tanita weighing scale that measures weight and body fat. They also have ones which measure water weight as well. It was pricey. Bought it in 2008 and still working.0

Look for a measurements-based calculator (google covert bailey's body fat calculator) or pick up a cheap calipers. Mine was like $6 on Amazon. All the measurement tools are fairly inaccurate (unless you go to a lab) but the overall trend is what most people are ok with. Am I reducing it over time?
Bailey (a fitness author) thinks around 21% is ideal for women. It's a tough goal. I think I was over 30% at goal weight. 50%+ is not good for your health, for sure.0
