Strengh Training Poll

Please take a minute to answer two quick questions for me:
1)How many calories burned do you log for each 10 minutes of strength training?
40 calories per ten minutes of heavy lifting
2)What intensity do you lift at? (Low – Moderate – High Intensity)
Moderate to High intensity

    1) I have absolutely no idea, as there is no portable equipment available on the market that provides an accurate measurement.
    2) High. Fast and heavy.

1.) I don't log calories burned for strength training, but that's jusy my own personal preference.
    2.) Moderate Intensity.

80-100 calories per ten minutes because I incorporate some small cardio intervals in between to keep the heart rate up (Learned it from Jillian and have seen amazing results after that)

Mostly moderate (coz I keep engaging my whole body using hand weights/suqats/push ups etc .. and never train a single part of the body at a time) but sometimes high as well (when I am in a mood to lift high weight but then I only consider one part of the body and then I use the machines)

About 40 to 50 calories - I am conservative with the number
2)What intensity do you lift at? (Low – Moderate – High Intensity)
High intensity - I do circuit training so my heart rate stays up the whole time

I agree that there is no good equipment. My HRM tells me about 100 calories per ten minutes, but I try to be conservative and just go with what MFP says for strength training under cardio.

I have been doing this for a bit over a month. The scale hasn't moved much, but I have lost two inches around my waist and hips :-)

Well if you want to know what my HRM says,
it says I burn about 200 calories per 10 minutes (polar ft7) when I'm doing strength training.

I log between 80-100 calories per 10 minutes but it's high intensity.

Everyone lifts so differently that it's hard to go off or judge someone else's routine. Even when I'm "resting," I'm moving. My heart rate follows basically a form of HIIT (high with burst of really high rate). No standing or sitting.
