Work Perk...then again...

I am a single mom to a fantastic 6 year old boy! I am lucky enough to have a great job HOWEVER, one of my job's main perks is Free Food for Management. I am a first assistant Manager at McDonald's which I have been at for going on 13 years. In the 2nd year of working at McD's I had put on 80lbs+ and decided to lose the weight. I still ate McFood EVERYDAY and in 9 months I was down 115lbs. The only exercise that I was doing was walking the 5km a day to and from work. People would say "Oh man McDonald's is making you gain so much weight" Are you kidding me??? I made the choice to eat all that food...all the time! There are plenty of fantastic healthy choices that McDonald's offers and in the end it's all about moderation.
After my son was born I ate and ate and ate some more to where I was at 230lbs...which I stayed at until January 2012. I wasn't REALLY doing anything consistently to lose weight besides cutting back a few days a week my calorie consumption.
March 2012: At 31 years old I had a heart attack! I kid you not...Now of course that scared the crap outta me but it took me almost 2 months to realize I NEEDED to change...not only for my son but for me.
So I still eat at work when I am there *it's so much cheaper and I am more concious of what I put in my mouth* and I am losing the weight again
It's a choice...but man oh man do I love our Nuggets!!!

Great post! You nailed it...........eat what you want in moderation. I lost 80+ pounds a couple years ago doing nothing but just eating a little of whatever I wanted until I realized I wasnt hungry anymore!0
