One of my main goals this summer is to run a 5K. I've been training and running with some friends. This is all new to me and I just wanted to know what are the best shoes to have to help support my feet for running?

Thanks!

Do your research. I love my nike free's, but they don't have a ton of padding, and may not work best for someone else. I suggest you check out www.runnersworld.com, or if you have a local running store, they'll measure you up, and help you out. I've tried Under Armours, various Nike's, and more. Good luck, and enjoy the journey :).

The best shoes for running are a pair that fit your feet and address any motion control needs.

Go to a specialty running store to have your feet checked out and gait analyzed -- they will be able to recommend shoes good for YOUR feet and stride.

Just go to a running store and get fitted for a pair that is right for you. Everyone needs something different so just go make sure you're getting the shoes that are best for you. Good luck!
