Can you recommend any good ones under $50.00? If not I will have to save and bite the bullet. I want to know how many calories I am burning everyday exactly not what a program is geared towards everyone you know what I mean? Thank you! :)

All the really good ones from what i can see are just BARELY outside of that price range, in the neighborhood of 60-70 bucks. Look up the Polar FT4 and FT7 on Amazon.com. FT7 is the better choice because the battery is user replaceable. As far as functionality goes it looks like they're basically the same thing. But the FT4 has a sealed battery in the transmitter so when the battery eventually goes dead (which it will after about a year if not less of proper care and regular use) you have to replace the WHOLE TRANSMITTER (which costs nearly the price of the whole unit--about $40.00) while with the FT7 you can just replace the battery.
