Hot Dogs (not vegan)

Can someone recommend a decent brand of hot dogs that are nitrate/nitrite free and still flavorful? We aren't into veggie dogs or tofu dogs - looking for turkey or chicken probably.

I bought some that were very low cal (50) and low fat (3.5) but they tasted like a whole lot of nothing in a bun. These were Applegate brand. Blech.

I need to find something healthy that tastes like a Nathan's cheddar dog. Probably not gonna happen. :grumble:

There's a Canadian company called Life Choice Foods who do an All Beef Hot Dog that I'm pretty sure if nitrate free. I went to check but their website is being updated so some info is missing. If they were a brand near you, you could probably email them. I remember seeing the name on a blog post somewhere ages ago about this issue.

Just to add, I've never tried these so I have no idea how they taste. I know the products gets good reviews whenever I read about them though.

I'm dying for a trader joes. We have two opening (each about 100 miles from us) later this summer. Wish it was closer, but I'll take it.!
