Lose skin?

I'm just curious if those of you that have lost 100+ have had to have skin removed? I'm worried about this. Is it a "given"?

  • It's not a "given". The younger you are, the less likely it is to happen since your skin is more elastic. Even if you aren't young, incorporate strength training into your exercise. It really cuts down on the loose skin problem.

You will get close but I was an overweight child, lost a lot of weight but didn't get to the proper toning part, I have arm fat and wings and stomach fat and lose skin which will not go away

Sorry to be the barer of bad news :(

From everything i've read here it really varies by individual. But you can help reduce the likelihood with strength training. I've also read people say drinking lots of water helps along with using moisturizer daily. I would think massage might help keep skin more elastic as well.

For me, i have decided i won't have any loose skin (even though i'm 50 and have been morbidly obese for more than a decade!). When i get to my goal, if reality varies from my "decision," I'll deal with it then! In the meantime, i'm quite certain my positive attitude will render surgery unnecessary!
