Hi everyone! I'm a 27 year old who's in grad school and had to make a video for a project - when I saw myself I was SHOCKED. I couldn't believe what I looked like "live". Pictures only show so much - but a video - yeesh! I'm recently diagnosed with a TON of food intolerance (including nuts and gluten) so this is going to be a real struggle. My doc recommended the Paleo diet so I have to do some research on that. I attempted the C25K workout tonight and about died - ended up speed-walking most of it. Was about a 3.5mph mile - guess that's not too shabby. Had a lot of chest pain with my breathing - hate that feeling. But I'm determined - sick and tired of being fat, sick, and tired!

Welcome and good for you, getting heathy! Every walk will get a little easier, but if the pain keeps up, you may want to see your doctor to get checked out... Enjoy the journey!

Take a look at www.gapsdiet.com. My naturopathic doctor has me on it and I've discovered a gluten intolerance as well. It's not for the feint of heart but I feel fantastic on it. Once you are out of the intro phase it seems very similar to paleo.

Congrats on starting your journey. MFP is a great place to be.
