I'm more of a sunset runner due to heat and I run my personal best for some reason at that time of day. However I am having difficulty maintaining my energy and blood sugar levels when I'm done. I am wondering what's the best thing to eat to help me recover? I normally have a protein shake w/milk but that seems to be upsetting my stomach big time. I've tried a peanut butter bagel, I've tried bananas, I am still remaining shaky and then by morning I'm very low and feel sick as if I have not eaten in days. Today I ran earlier, before dinner, and all it did was make me not as hungry though I did eat 2 slices of homemade whole wheat pizza along with my protein shake. I'm not sure where to go from here! Any help would be appreciated.
