Okay, this is probably a stupid question but will doing the elliptical help build leg muscles? I raise the resistance on the elliptical and I can definitely feel something. Any tips?

Yes and no...if your eating below your daily calories..ie trying to loose weight you will not buld any muscles, however you will burn fat and see more of the muscles you already have and they will strengthen...however to increase muscles you need to eat a surplus of calories ie bulking to promote muscle growth. Now being a female you ladies dont build or bulk up like men so it will be hard to gain large amounts.
But what your feeling is muscles being worked and getting stronger so its a very good thing.....i know from walking and stationary bike my legs have started to show much much more muscle.0 -
There will of course be some adaptation. It won't really make you strong. Look at a cyclist's legs - lean, but tight. There's a limit.
Now squats.
Squats will build leg muscles.0 -
Okay cool! Thanks for for the advice! I do my fair share of squats too! lol0
