Falling and getting back

Yesterday was the big yearly cookout at our home. Huge buffet all day overflowing from my dining room to my kitchen. (Italian goodies etc.) I ate some things that were fattening, throughout the day but cut down considerably from what I use to eat. (Big pig out day, eating from 1pm to 8 pm). Even though the choices could have been better I am pleased that I started out with a balanced breakfast (which I wouldn't have bothered with before) and had much smaller sizes of the things I did eat.
I switched to Bud Lite ( a decision I made last Friday when I started) but a friend brought me my favorite Molson Ice. He was so pleased he did so that I didn't have the heart to not drink that instead of the Lite beer. (Poor excuse but the truth)
I just started Friday knowing that Sunday was going to be a challenge. So I say GOOD FOR ME!
I did the best I could and had at least 2 good days, with exercise and a considerably better day yesterday then I had at the past "Feast Day" cookouts!
Today I will dust myself off and start all over again.
Already exercised, had a balanced breakfast and drank 4 cups of water. The only loser, is the one who loses sight of "today" and lingers on the sloppy "yesterdays"! Yeh for A NEW DAY!

Hey Birdie!!! Good for you!! At least you are aware of what your challenges are and you tried your best to meet them. I too, had a big gathering yesterday after just deciding to start back on track. It was hard to avoid the "chickin' pickin" all day long, but I did better than I normally would have. Today I am starting fresh and trying to record every bite because I really want to feel better with some weight loss. Godd luck this week.:flowerforyou:0

Good for you. IT'S THE ONLY WAY WE'LL BE SUCCESSFUL! Most of us know what we should or shouldn't eat, the biggest challenge is when we slip up... we don't get up fast enough! But we're up and running!! :flowerforyou: Hurray for us!0
