Goal Objects!!!!

Not sure that's the appropriate title but here goes anyway. Back in FEB right around Valentines day after a good 1 month of consistency with eating and working out I fit into a little black dress (LBD) i had in the closet that previously i looked preggo in. This motivated me so I hunted for another LBD as a goal dress to aim to fit into well and as a sort of reward once I do fit into it.

Does anyone else do this? With anything, it could be a goal trip, goal class you aim to conquer so you signed up in advance or simply vain like me you bought a bikini for the summer and you're working towards wearing it in the next few months?

Great idea. Perhaps I'll buy a large shirt (currently XXL-Tall) and work towards fitting into it

I'm a dress addict, especially vintage dresses. I have one in paricular that is a 1950s size 12, which I guess by looking at it would be a size 6/small 8 today. It was too cute to not buy at the time, I'm looking forward to wearing it. :)

    Yes!
I have a Jazzercise top hanging on a hanger on the foot of my bed. It is a little too snug to wear right now, but I promised myself I'll wear it to Jazzercise when I hit 160. (I'm 165 now).

Glad to see it's not just me.
Once I get to 150 I plan on visiting Atlanta rocks and conquer indoor rock climbing; reward, goal and new workout all wrapped in one.

My goal is simply to fit back into the clothes I have in my closet. I don't like most of the current styles - I want to wear what I bought years ago and loved!!! :(

YES! At the beginning of my journey I was wearing a size 18. I found a dress I really liked and bought it in a size 10. I havent worn a dress in about 20 years but have always liked them but I always look like I was wearing a tent so I didnt wear them. So my first MAJOR goal will be to fit into that size 10 dress. I am currently in a tight 12, loose 14. So not to much more to go. It will be a HAPPY day when I wear that size 10 dress!!!

Funny you should post this now. Just last night I bravely dug out a pair of white jeans, size 8, that I could wear years ago. I could get them on, sort of. They don't cover my rear and I can't snap them. So I hung them on a hook in my bathroom so I can look at them everyday. I think I will try them on once per week or every other week. Goal one: put them on and snap them. Goal 2: put them on and wear them with NO MUFFIN TOP!

Nothing wrong with that i'm sure you are well on your way. Hanging out something you already have is just as good as something new.
Once i ballooned up i got rid of all my old clothes so now everything is big and i have to buy down again.

@ teresadutton : when you get into that dress make sure you take pics as a motivation to keep going. You can do it

@ srsteier: Congrats on getting into them. Can't wait for you to reach goals 1 and 2.

I have a pair of jeans that at my thinnest were a little loose that I would love to be able to wear again comfortably. I am only 4 lbs from that low weight, but last time I tried them they give me obscene muffin top. Who would have thought losing 7 lbs would be such a long drawn out process? :noway:

First, I went through all my old clothes (24 to 14, including my prom dress!) and when I got to my smallest ever, had to start buying. So I've found a new love for consignment stores, and each time I move down a size, I buy a cute outfit in the next size down and hang it on the closet door so I see it every day. About once I week I try it on to check my progress.
