fat burn or cardio

Hi everyone...I'm still learning all of this stuff, so I'm going to keep asking questions of all you knowledgeable folks.
When I walk or bike(recumbent) is it better to aim for the "fat burn" lower heart rate or the higher "cardio" rate? Does it matter? better yet...WHY does it matter? What are the benefits/drawbacks of fat burn vs. cardio?

I don't really get the whole "fat burn" vs "cardio" thing. It's all about burning calories. Workout harder for shorter periods of time, work out a little lighter for longer periods of time. It all works out.
I like to work as hard as I can for as long as I can.0 -
The higher your heart rate the more calories you burn. More calories burned means weight loss. I'm sure there are people who swear by intervals for fat loss, but workout hard, and you WILL see results!:flowerforyou:0

Cardio, the higher is the better.
HIIT - high intensity interval workout is the best ...
your body will still burn fat 20 more minutes after the workout.0
