New here - but not to dieting

Hi all, my name is Joh and I am new to MFP but not to dieting :yawn: I am a yo-yo dieter, having been 200+ lbs at my heaviest (after having my kids) and 145 lbs at my lightest (around 4 years ago) but usually hover somewhere in between. At the moment, I am around the 190 lb mark and I really want to lose at least 40 lbs.

I have tried all sorts of diets - Slimming World, WW, Atkins - the only thing I haven't tried is VLCDs.

I love the theory behind MFP and am really hoping it works for me.

I would love to make some new like-minded friends here and really feel like i need some encouragement to be able to do it.
