So, allow yourself a treat at the fair and walk alot! You can have a treat in moderation - when we went, I had an Indian Taco (YUMMY!!) and bought a deep-fried twinkie (I really wanted to see what it was like!) and the 4 of us split the twinkie. Lots of walking, water drinking and fun ensued, but I avoided the rest of the food vendors. Enjoy your night!

That's sad, you shouldn't be dreading it just because of food. Make a plan of attack before you go. You know what's there for food, so decide before you leave the house what you're going to eat while you're there.

I just had an indian taco myself for the first time. So crazily good!

Oh yeah!! Good stuff, baby. I only eat them at the fair now, it's my once a year treat! Then I have something else I've never had - like the fried twinkie thing. Oh, I forgot, I did have a chocolate-covered strawberry kabob!

Eat a decent meal before going (protein & fibre to help you feel fuller longer). Bring a bottle or two of water and some chewing gum to stave off the cravings but allow yourself to have a little treat. It's not everyday that you get to go to the fair!!

Also, before you're tempted to take a bite, ask yourself it that particular "treat" will be worth it, or if there's something there that would taste better. I usually try to "one-up" my treats to the point where I don't know which one would taste the best so I opt out of having anything at all! hahaha.
