Does P90 count as strength training?

Desiring to add strength training. travel for work, don't have a gym membership, nor space for weights in my home. I'm way out of shape except for walking, so I'm in very beginner mode.
The rubber band fits in my luggage, and I have the videos on my iPad.
Thoughts?

Yes, it is great strength training for those who can't go to the gym.0

Yes, using the bands ( and I know in the videos they give you an example of how to use the bands with each workout) that resistance is the same as using weights...and done right it can be challenging...as you progress you may find you need stronger bands or def invest in weights down the line...but I luv p90X...good luck0
