    TORONTO - A massive stage collapse before a Radiohead concert at Toronto's Downsview Park has killed one person and injured several others, according to media reports.

    No band members were believed to be on stage at the time of the collapse, but concert crew were working in the area at the time.

    Radiohead cancelled their performance as a result.

    The collapse occurred as thousands fans were already lining up outside.

    Apparently there is a free Flaming Lips concert this evening and the Flaming Lips invited Radiohead to come play with them via Twitter. I'm going to trust that this is why she hasn't rushed to MFP to assuage my concerns for her safety.

    Oh i'm a bit jealous, I've never seen them in concert but when I saw R.E.M. in concert Thom Yorke came out for the encore and sang REM songs with Michael Stipe.


    Hmmm, that happened when I saw them as well.

    One person died, one person was transported to the hospital with a head injury, and two others suffered minor injuries.

    It could have been a lot worse, but I'm so sad for the people who were hurt/killed.

    Pretty bad news about the person that died from the stage collapsing. Scary stuff.
