3x5 vs. 5x5 ?

So it looks like Starting Strength and Stronglifts are pretty much the same except that SS is 3x5 and Stronglifts is 5x5 (excluding the deadlift.) I figure Mark Rippetoe would know better than the guy who made up Stronglifts so 3x5 would be the better option, but I don't know. Anyone have any insight? Should I just go get the book? Lol.

Get Rip's book regardless of which program you choose.
In my experience, I like 5x5 to start with. As soon as the weights get heavy, 3x5 will probably get you farther.0 -
I'm reading SS, but planning to start with Stronglifts. I want to ease into this, make sure I'm lifting with good form, and IMO, it is better accomplished with Stronglfts.0
