Newbie...looking for feedback during this life style change

I am 40 and have been faced with changing my diet or continue to gain weight. I am a former marathoner and was use to eating a normal 3500 - 4000 calorie diet while training. I have stopped running but have maintained my love for eating and have went from 160 lbs to nearly 230 (I am 5'11).

I have started my lifestyle change the day after Labor Day and so far so good. But I am know having difficulty eating...for some reason I have lost my appetite and the past week have had to make myself eat.

Looking for advice on what the minimum calories I should be eating daily.

Here are my results for the 1st 2 weeks.....

After 2 full weeks I have lost 18.4 lbs.

Week 1 recap...averaged 1421.6 calories consumed per day, 603.1 calories burned per day from extra exercise for a net average of 818. 4 calories consumed per day which resulted in 11.0 lbs lost.

Week 2 recap...averaged 1440.7 calories consumed per day, 587.9 calories burned per day from extra exercise for a net average of 852.9 calories consumed per day which resulted in 7.4 lbs lost.

Week 3 have had days where I am not hungry but just eat to try to avoid starvation mode.

Looking for friends to offer advice as I continue this new lifestyle.
