Depo-Provera weight gain? Hard to loose weight?

Hello Ladies!
I've been using the depo provera (birth control injection) for almost 2 years now. I don't believe my weight gain was caused by the extra hormones since I've had led a pretty sedentary life style, however I was wondering is it hard to loose weight while on this form of birth control? I've been working out and dieting for a couple months now and have not lost a pound. I have noticed a change in my body: abs and glutes are firmer and tighter, my energy levels have risen and I'm feeling lighter and swifter when working out... any advice?

    I have found the same thing. Depo is supposed to be a weight loss suppressant, even if you don't actually put on weight, it could be stopping you losing. I have been using it for 3 years and have decided to stop and use the IUD instead to see if that makes a difference. x
