Hello,
I'm a 32 year old Aussie girl..... have started weight training 4 or 5 times a week, combined with reasonable eating.... I only have a few kilos (or pounds) to go. My focus is on changing my body composition and losing the last bit of belly fat after having two kiddies. I want to be in better shape than before I had kids. Ambitious - yes, achievable - totally! It has been about 6 weeks now of regular strength training, and while I am still obviously a beginner - I lift as heavy as I can each session, and have tripled my what I was initially lifting in some cases.
I only just realised there is a community side to this site - so if anyone wants to be my friend, I'd love the support and added benefits. Would especially like to hear from guys or girls doing strength training.
Cheers!

Hey, welcome! I'm just over the pond in NZ!
I'm just starting strength training so could really use a few pointers - like you I'm wanting to get tone and definition and I'm not afraid of lifting heavy!
Will send you a friend request

Hey, I'm 21, from England. Been lifting heavy for a few years now and love it!
Lift 4x a week. My goals are just to get as strong as I can be.

Hey there Heather...
Strength training becomes quite addictive!
I've only been doing it 6 weeks but after about 3 weeks I started seeing results, and it had become quite a habit.
Cardio not for me - I'd rather watch what I eat than spend forever on the treadmill trying to burn it off.0 -
Hey Heidi,
Awesome!!
Well I'm not sure I lift heavy, but its as heavy as I can - and I increase the weights whenever I feel I can.
Woo hoo I have some friends now! LOL0 -
Hi, me too, from UK and been lifting on and off for years. I'm going to try and up my amounts of lifting and be consistent and re-start New lifting rules for women.

That's what I mean too, as heavy as I can. Heavy is specific to the person, and depends on the rep range more than the actual weight :happy:0 -
Hi guys! I am mostly in this to drop about 30 kg, but I do 3 strength sessions a week at the minute and love pushing the weight limits! Feel free to add me!0
