Work Out Ideas

I do three 45 mins PT sessions a week. They are usual high intensity cardio/weight circuits. Things like TRX, Boxing, Core Work, Body Weight excercises, weights.

The other 2/3 days that I work out during the week have me lost as to what to do.

I usually get pretty bad muscle soreness from my PT sessions.

I like running, but not on the treadmill for long. I would LOVE to be able to do a 5km run outside, but it's dark when I leave and come home at the moment (curse winter), and I don't trust my neighbourhood.

Any ideas?

There is a heated pool near me, but I can't do it for very long at the moment.

Thank you in advance :)

Have you thought about yoga or pilates as an option on one of the days. This will help with the muscle fatigue and soreness and build on your core muscles and flexibility.

get in the pool for cardio. Even if you cant do too much at the moment it will build.

20 minutes on the treadmill, 20 minutes on an exercise bicycle. Depending on how tired your legs are, you can select a light or tough resistance.

I did try a pilates class, but it definately wasn't a recovery class. haha

There aren't any yoga classes at my gym at times I can attend regularily.

I also still want to burn calories on these days.

Maybe I will try the pool again. $5 a swim isn't too bad. I'll try that for once a twice a week.
