New to this :)

Hey everyone! My name is Tori and I'm beginning my weight loss journey today. It's always that one moment where you're like "I need to change now!" isn't it? And that was today when I weighed myself for the first time in 2 months and noticed that I gained 10 pounds (from 213 to 223). Usually during the summer, it's my biggest downfall. I'm not walking to classes everyday and my job is working behind the desk at a Comfort Inn. Plus the horrible Missouri humidity keeps me inside. So here's hoping to change that!

Welcome aboard. I have been keeping a diary here for about a month and a half and so far it is working. The thing that gave me the push to start was someone at work saying that he had been able to loose weight without feeling hungry. I had seen other people on diets eating tiny meals and complaining about being hungry and didn't fancy that experience. Then I discovered my colleague had been using an on-line tool similar to this so I finally took the plunge and I'm glad I did.

Good luck. It is fairly simple. I started back in Feb. before joining MFP and lost 11 lbs initially. Since late March I have lost another 14. I will weigh in tomorrow so it could be more. I feel like I get a good fill of my fruits, veggies, meats, grains and dairy. I also work the overnight shift and manage to get in a walk almost every day. Some days I walk for 30 minutes, most days 1 hour. I suffer major back issues so these walks are considered exercise for me. Choose me as a friend if you wish. I know you can do this. Having a start day is step number 1. Denise
