SMOOTHIES! (minus banana)
Does anyone have any great tasting, filling smoothie recipes that do NOT require bananas? I always see recipes that include bananas and I'm allergic so I end up staying away from smoothies all together.
I'd really like something that actually keeps me full for a while, but I think it'd be a nice treat, living in Florida during the summertime (enough said! haha)
Thanks in advance

here are two of my favourites at the moment
Nectarine Smoothie
1 medium nectarine - pitted (peeled if you dont like bits)
1 glass of fresh orange
1/4 cup of milk (optional)
Blitz up the nectarine and orange juice until smooth and then if using add in the milk and blitz again - this is really creamy even without the milk and fills you up
Blueberry Smoothie
100ml Semi Skimmed milk
50g Yoghurt
1 Cup of blueberries
1 tsp runny honey
Chuck it all in the blender and blitz - if you dont like pippy bits then you might want to strain this one before you drink it
Basically the beauty of smoothies is find a fruit/veg you like and experiment - you might have a few disasters but you will have more successes.0 -
