Ankle Pain from Running?

About a week ago I noticed the outside of my right ankle (on and above the bone) hurt when I touched, bumped, or if something was up against it. It didn't hurt to walk on it and it was not swollen or bruised at all. Last night I went on a run, running 1:30 and walking 1 for about 4 minutes and even though I felt amazing while running and after I finished, I totally regret it. Last nights run made it worse. It hurts when I walk, when I move my foot in any direction, when something hits it (like my little puppy), or if my husbands leg glides over my ankle. It even hurts when I curl my toes! There is no swelling and no bruising what-so-ever! I've been icing and I've taken Ibuprofen.
Any idea as to what happened?

No idea what might have happened, but I'd recommend rest and/or seeing a doctor. That sounds really atypical0
