I saw it on a couple of other posts so I looked it up. Seems effective, and since i have always wanted to start running I think this will be good for me. I am gonna start Monday August 24, 2009. I am excited. But I will probably need some support to keep me going, my boyfriend will run with me but I need help from someone who is actually trying to lose weight...Anyone interested?

Hi! I'm in a group that just started - but we're all at different levels. one woman is on week 4 I think. I know I'm going to repeat some weeks - that's a certainty.

So if you wanted to check this group out, I know you'd be welcome!

If not, I'll just keep coming here too! It really is an awesome program. I'm 49 years old and weigh 211, and I am actually able to do it - albeit very slowly... :) slug slow - but still doing it!!

The people there are very supportive, the person that started the group very upbeat and welcoming!

I just started this about a week ago. I can already feel a difference and i'm starting to enjoy running ha. I was a soccer player in high school and just let myself go after that.. whoopsies:blushing: .. I don't really have anyone to run with though so I could definately use the support too!
  • i've always been a thicker girl, but i hit my highest weight my senior year of high school. which was devastating. i've played softball all my life nd needless to say my weight never stopped me from playing ball. I started losing weight in October or '08 nd since then i've lost about 30 to 33 pound.

i just read up on this program nd it seems pretty wicked, so i just may try it. how tough was it for everyone when they first started?

I'm on the first workout of week two so i still have a ways to go ha.. but starting off wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I haven't even tried to run in a longgg time and this program is very doable. It's challenging at first to just get the motivation to go out and actually do it, but I know after I run I feel so accomplished  so I'm going to try to stick it out for the remaining weeks

I am trying to get back into this program after developing knee tendonitis. I was on Week 5 when I had to stop :grumble: but now the swelling is gone and got fitted with new shoes and orthotics. I have gone out slowly doing the alternating 60 and 90 seconds and the knee held up so far. Was wondering where I should start or just keep easing in slowly again for the knee....stamina is there
