Not exactly new, but finally see it!

I started my journey on November 13, 2011 weighing in at 230 pounds (this is so hard for me to admit). Being only 5'3, that is alot of weight to carry around and was making me miserable. Not only did I hate the way I looked but it had started to affect how I felt about myself. Finally decided - I am WORTH the time and effort to feel good about myself! I have lost a total of 66 pounds and have gone from size 20W to 10! I was having a hard time seeing the difference in the mirror, I look at myself and still see the 230 pound person looking back at me. The last time any pictures were taken of me was in 2007 at 190 pounds, so I finally allowed my husband to take a couple of pictures - I CAN see the changes.
I figured out that when I look in the mirror I still focus on the area that needed and still needs the most work, my belly. I am the person who carries all the extra weight in the belly, haven't known what a waistline was since the 90's. Boy was I amazed when I realized that I do have a waistline now that is smaller than my hips. I now wish I would have allowed my husband to take some true before pictures. BIG recommendation to all the newbies out there - take some BEFORE pictures, when you can't see the changes and differences in the mirror, you will have pictures to compare. You need to be able to feel and SEE the difference that your lifestyle changes are making.
I couldn't figure out how to added pictures to my forum post, so have made my profile public - you can check out a couple of shots there.
Anyone can do this, just get up move and control your portions!
