Falling off track on the weekends

I eat right Monday - Friday and just started doing the INSANITY workout videos. I've already received positive remarks on my progress... But this past Saturday my wife stopped at Chick-Fil-A and bought a sandwich and fries for me. I ate the chicken (w/o the bread) and all the fries. On top of that I had several snacks later that day. Plus a big dinner (Sesame Chicken - my favorite, with rice). I'm pretty sure I stepped over my calorie boundary and sodium too. On Sunday I ate the leftover sesame chicken for morning AND dinner and more snacking in between.
I lack the power to control what I eat on the weekends. Anyone have this problem ? What do you guys do to stay away from those temptations -- whether its your favorite foods or the family cookout you MUST attend. Any advice is awesome! Thx

I seem to have the same problem. When the weekend rolls around my son goes with his father. So i dont have to cook i just make whatever. I realize that is my biggest down fall. But sometimes we need to up our calories and then lower them a little more maybe. Thats what Im trying. Like ill eat 1400 calories a day for a week and then on the weekend. ill eat maybe 2000. then the following week ill eat 1300. seems to keep me at least at my current weight. But im also not working out with the insanity thing either. i just do a 45 minute workout on the biggest loser wii game.0

Maybe your wife is trying to sabotage you. Heck, that would be like poking out your other eye0

If you want to relax it a bit on the weekends, try eating a little less (or exercising more) during the week and saving up the calories. Or just have one or two splurge meals on the weekend, rather than the whole weekend.
Some people do like to have a cheat day on the weekend where they eat whatever they want and don't log it. You could try that, too. But at least limit it to one day.0 -
I have one cheat meal per week and usually schedule that meal for Friday or Saturday night. It helps me stay on track.0
