I find many people who think they're being sarcastic are actually being sardonic. But that's ok. Good, in fact.

If I had only known that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, I'm sure I would never have used it.
Oh wait, that's irony, not sarcasm...

If we eliminate the natural filter on who can read sarcasm, I run the risk of friending the wrong kind of people.

    AGREED!!

But the highest form of intelligence!!
I think MFP needs a sarcasm button. I've read so many posts where the sarcasm is BLINDINGLY obvious but people have still replied as if the OP meant what they were saying. Come on MFP, it's for the greater good!!

Since human society has largely negated natural selection, proper use of sarcasm is the only way to identify those worthy of breeding with.

Comic sans...it's all that is needed.

They still wouldn't get it. Humor is wasted on the humorless.

There's this amazing thing called Google. There's also this amazing book called a dictionary. Upon opening this amazing book to find this "unreal" word or typing the term in question into this amazing search engine, you shall stumble upon your answer.

I don't have Internet access. Further exacerbated by the fact I can't read.

I hear good stuff about this Google thing. Would I find that on the interwebs?

Open a book? It's so much easier to ask somebody. Usually, that is.
