I just tried truvia today, and I quite like it. I don't see any difference in taste. I hear, though, that truvia is better for you and truly calorie-free (whereas splenda as 4 cals per packet). So, now, I'm trying to decide if it's worth switching over to truvia entirely. :)

What do you guys use?

I prefer the taste of Truvia, so I use that. I don't think the calories matter much at that level.

Also, be prepared for a few dozen posts telling you that artificial sweeteners are really really bad for you.

If you prefer the taste, just go for it. Truvia is a blend of splenda and erythritol and stevia, so there is still some measure of artificial sweetner in it. Some prefer straight stevia. I just buy liquid splenda, as the taste is good to me and with liquids you get no cals and no carbs (the binding agent to make splenda granular actually does contain carbs).
  • I used Sweet and Low for years -- I never liked Splenda or Equal and now I've switched to Truvia. I still prefer S & L but since I was having 3 or 4 cups of coffee a day with 3 or 4 packets in each cup, I decided the Truvia was better. It's more natural and comes from the Stevia plant (which... I also used a liquid Stevia and that was pretty good but pricey).

I think it just comes down to what you prefer. If you're not drinking a pot of tea or coffee and not using tons of whatever sweetener you prefer, I don't think it's enough to worry about.

No, I have maybe 8 packets of splenda per week, so I guess it's not anything to worry about. :) Thank you all for your opinions. They are greatly appreciated.
