Any sleepwalkers out there?

I have a history of sleepwalking up until I was about 13 years old. I figured that I have grown out of it. I've had a few incidents where I've had some intense night terrors and have even talked in my sleep. Lately my sleep has been strange. I can only sleep about 5-6 hours when on days that I work (I work night shift) and I've been waking up about 2-3 hours after I pass out. I've only been sleeping well when I sleep next to my boyfriend on the weekends, however he says I seem to have nightmares in my sleep that cause me to move around a lot and whimper. I never remember these nightmares.
Yesterday I completely rearranged and deep cleaned my bedroom. I figured I'd make my room completely pristine (I hate sleeping near clutter). I also bought dark curtains and a valance for my window, so now my bedroom is completely dark when I sleep. I went to bed at my usual time, taking some sleeping pills as well. I thought I slept decently however for some reason was still rather tired. I went to my bathroom and noticed a mess on the counter of toothpaste and my toothbrush in the sink. I also had apparently forgotten to flush the toilet. I didn't remember any of this. I talked to my mother who said I came out of my bedroom and used the bathroom about 2 hours after I went to bed and even had a brief, sleepy conversation about something she was watching on TV. None of this rings a bell. I don't remember a thing.
This freaks me out because I'm sleepwalking again and my sleep patterns aren't normal. When I was a kid I used to do and say a lot of strange things, and don't want to do anything dangerous. I'm curious if anyone else sleepwalks and how they cope.
