Thought this was a HUGE accomplishment due to my current weight. I used to run 3 miles in 30 minutes @ 135 lbs (before the kids). Hopefully, I can reach this weight and running time again *cross fingers*
Are there any other "heavy weight" runners out there??? I'd love for you to share your accomplishments with running or personal goals.

Way to go girl! I was jogging/ brisk walk 3 miles in 35 min at 221, Now I'm 206 and can do 4 miles in 35 min. You will reach your goal prob. faster then you think
  • that is great! I play softball and Im one of the fastest runners on the team and I weigh 280. People cant believe how much I weight - I carry it very well! You go girl! Keep it up! I can keep up with younger ladies that weight half as much as me . . . . Just because we are big doesnt mean we cant get around . . .

That is awesome!!! Just think of what you'll accomplish in the next few months!

It won't take long before you are running faster at a longer distance. I started in April and now I run 4 miles on a daily run, 7 miles for my long days. So far I can run 5k at a little under 40 mins. I'm working on improving each day.

I was a walker/jogger for a long time but it didn't take long to transition into a runner. You can do it too!

I'm currently 170 lbs. I have lost 22 lbs, but have also lost 8 dress sizes. Your efforts will have great results

Congrats on your jog! You did a great job!!!

    congratulations
  • That's great! I'm at about 170 right now and the longest run I've completed (non-stop, no walking) is 2.5 miles in 30 minutes. I would LOVE to work up to a 5k. My best friend just started running with me which makes me SUPER excited... so I'm hoping we can build up to that 5k together!

Good for you! It will get easier! I promise!
