I'm 5'8" and my goal is between 160-165.........that would be between a size 8 and 10 for me and quite manageble. About 10 years ago, I was in the 145-150 range and it was REALLY skinny on me.

I'm slightly over weight for my height. My goal right now is to get to 135-140 lbs. But I am going to stop before then if I'm happy with how I look. :) It depends on if my current body fat turns into muscle.

I think it depends on your bone structure too. I was 125 in my mid to late 20's and looked horrible, people always pegged me as anorexic. I look back at pics as I crept up in size and though it might be nice to be 150, I'm pretty sure I would be ok with 170. Even now at 205, I know I am over weight but am surprised at how many people don't believe me ...maybe they're just being kind. Idk. But for argument's sake, I will say 170.

I would look skeletal and gaunt at 120, but obviously we're all built differently so that doesn't hold true for all. I'm 5'9 and my goal weight is around 140. I'm 147 and some change right now.... finding it v hard to get the last 7lbs off!

I'm 5'8" but have a larger frame, so my goal weight is 160-170.

I'm 5'9 and a crossfitter, ideal weight for me is 175. That of course is with lean muscle. Body fat % is what really matters not the scale number.

I'm newly 5'7 ( just found out I'm shrinking) and I'm currently sitting at 167. I don't care to drop down much below 165 because, for me, that puts me between a 10 and a 12 and that is a beautiful thing! Small waist and great curves :)

I'm 5'8" and aiming for around 150 lbs. I was 140 when younger but think that would make me look gaunt now I'm older (aged59 years)

I also think everyone is quite low. It very much depends on your bone structure and muscle tone. My goal used to be 170...but I'm building muscle so who knows what I'm actually going to end up at. I would like to lose at least 2 pant sizes...I'm a 34 right now, in Silver jeans anyway. I am on week six of a 12 week challenge. In my first 4 weeks I only lost 1.8 lbs...BUT I lost 4.6% body fat and 3.4 BMI points. My trainer said that is WAY more important than the weight lost. Too many people rely on the scale and we shouldn't. The best thing to do is to get where you are comfortable, and what is most realistic to maintain.

    Good luck on your journey!!

My weight has fluctuated so much over the years. I was as low as 119 in my early twenties and have been as high as 190 recently. I found in the past I was happiest around 140 but guess what? I am almost more satisfied now at 171 just because I am more tight and shapely. My goal is no longer a number but to continue resculpting my body and lowering body fat. If that leaves me at 170 so be it. If it leaves me at 140 great. I highly doubt I would ever want to be as low as 119 again though!

I'm 5'8" and was always super super skinny and unhealthy looking in HS (a very long time ago) weighing 100 lbs . But at 40, Im not sure what will look good on me. Ideally I think I would like to be at 145, but realistically I think I am aiming for 155. Im just starting so we will see.

GW 155-160 (subject to how I feel when I get there)

My mini 2 month goal is to get to 180lbs then start heavy lifting. At the moment it's mostly cardio & light weights as well as 30 day shred but reading through the posts on here, all I have to say is WOW. Isn't it crazy how people of the same weight/height can have such different goals? I would look anorexic at 120lbs but then again, I don't know since our bodies are all different. In my late teens I was just 40kgs & didn't look right. I want to keep my boobs & get that gap in your thighs. Too thin & my man won't be jumping up & down in excitement lol

I'm 5'8" and my goal weight is 165 (to start), but I'd like to get down to 150-155 eventually.

I'm with this lady. I am 5'8" and 5 years ago I lost 65 pounds and got down to 165 and I felt and looked great. I still felt I could lose another 10-15 though. So my goal was to get to 150-155, but then I had another munchkin. So back where I started 5 years ago lol. My goal again is 165 to start for a wedding dress! :) Then my ultimate for life goal will be about 150.

I was 135 when I was a teenager and before kids, it's great for a teen, but I'm a woman now. I think my "upper chest area" weights at least 5lbs!" lol.

I've just recently met my goal (goal was 120, now weigh 116). I personally like the way I look on the thin side, but everyone is different! I never really had curves.... just more lumps. I'm trying to maintain now, and become more toned. I feel great!

I am 5'8" and I have to get over the scale. I have always been in the 155 area until the last year. My weight keeps going up and up and up. I weighed in at the gym last week at 163, but here is the kicker ladies.....my bodyfat is down. My belt is one notch down.

So my weight goal....whatever. My actual goal, be comfortable in my skin. Be comfortable to rock shorts and a shorts bra for a workout in front of other people, having some abs visible. Get a muscle up. Squat 250#. Come in first place at some sort of fitness competition.

    I LOVE THIS ANSWER ^^^^^

I am 5ft 9, and I would say currently weighing around 145/146lbs.... I try to stay away from the scales now as I have built muscle, but I think I am losing fat.... (I hope)

My body always wants to stay at 140lbs.... But I feel my best at 137/138 - I have been a lot lower, but cant maintain it!!!

    I'm 5 ft 7 and I'm aiming for about the 150lb mark.

I notice a few people aiming for 130-135lb - I guess everyone looks different depending on body composition. Last time I was 135lb was at college and my mum thought I had an eating disorder because I looked so slim - I was just doing a lot of sport at the time. Admittedly looking back, I had lost my hourglass figure completely - I remember trying on a dress and realising I had no boobs or hips any more.

I just want to slim my curves down & tone up a little. I don't want to loose my feminine curves completely.

    I'm 5'7 and a 1/2
I want to maintain at 147. That's my weight goal.

3 years ago I dropped down to 144 for my sis's wedding, I was lean, very little body fat & strong. My periods stopped and I developed some health problems. Sub 140 would just not be possible for me if I want to maintain muscle mass and most importantly my health.

I am also 5'8" and I am aiming for 11 stone ( 154lbs). At the moment I am fluctuating on 12 stone 11-12 lbs (179-180lbs) having started on January 6th on 14stone 1lb ( 197lbs) so still a way to go...but not stressing as don't want want to set myself up to fail.
  • I am 5'7" and my realistic goal is 140-145 lbs. I was as low as 125 at 16 and just don't see that happening again after having kids. I maintained in the 165 lb area for a few years before and after having my son. I wasn't thrilled with it, but wasn't disgusted. I had twins (which I carried to 38+ weeks) 18 months ago and am seriously unhappy with my looks. I'm currently in the 175-180lbs area. I had never had a belly before and it stretched so far out that I now have an official "mom pooch." Considering that my body shape is a definite pear (flat chested and extra-large behind/thighs/legs), the belly is definitely noticeable. Now I need to lose weight to have more energy and feel better about myself. I'd love to wear a size 8 again!

No less than 145lbs, no more than 175lbs...but it all depends on how much muscle I pack on after I cut, so 160ish may be ideal for me.
  • I'm 5'8" and in my early 50's. The charts say 131-164. I would love the number to be around 155. However, it not really about the scale so much as my health and appearance. I would happily be 165-175 in a dress size 10-12. I remember the days long ago when my skirt size was smaller than my top size. Those were the days.....
