Cooling off during workouts.

As of late, I have been doing as much as I can to stay cool during my workouts. I have always done my indoor workouts in the early am (4:30AM). Now, I use a spray bottle and have a handy cup of ice water for my water breaks with a large fan pointing at me. I love it! I don't sweat as much and get all steamy. When I do sweat, I feel cool with the fan & Spray bottle. I have more endurance cause I'm not panting as much either. Did the light go on .... or am I Sabotaging my workouts... anyone know? with warmer days ahead I need to know.

I have read that keeping cool during workouts helps your endurance. Fact or fiction? I dont know. But sweating profusely doesn't mean you're losing more weight... (maybe just water weight.) Personally- heat slows me down, which in turn means burning less calories. For me the heat sucks out energy that I could be using working out, so I even turn on the AC if I need to.
Then again I do workout at home so it's easier to control the climate and I can wear whatever I want lol0
